The Council often seeks community comments about Council-related issues.
This may be as part of a formal Council consultation process or simply to get an informal indication of community feelings about a topic. Formal consultation topics are listed on this page. If you would like to provide feedback on other topics or issues, please use the general feedback form.
You can also have your say by using Viewpoint Whanganui, an online community hub where residents, visitors, and anyone who is passionate about Whanganui can have their say about issues important to our district.
The Council is committed to engaging with the community, agencies and other key stakeholders in the development of our district's plans, policies strategies and bylaws.
The following table sets out our upcoming consultation schedule and provides some background on each of the topics we intend to engage on over the next year.
Please note that these timeframes are only approximate and that they may change. There may also be other items that the Council would like your feedback on and our consultation programme will be updated as necessary.
If you would like to stay up-to-date with these topics and other consultation opportunities you can email us to sign up.
We will release more information on each of these issues as the review and development process progresses. If you have any questions in the meantime please contact the Council's Policy and Governance Manager
