Creative Communities Scheme
The Creative Communities Scheme is a partnership between Whanganui District Council and Creative New Zealand to promote local arts projects.
Applications for round two of the Whanganui Creative Communities Scheme for 2019/20 are now open.
Due to the COVID-19 situation dates for the current Whanganui Creative Communities funding round have been pushed out - the round is now for projects that will take place between 13 June 2020 and 13 June 2021.
Applications for round two will now close at 12 noon on Thursday, 14 May 2020.
Please be aware that these dates are subject to change depending on the COVID-19 Alert Level status at the time. Come back to this website for updates or email the Whanganui Creative Communities Scheme administrator if you have any questions about the process or concerns as to how the current situation will impact on your project.

Creative Communities Scheme application form
All applications must be made on the official form which can be downloaded below or if you need a hard copy these will be available from Council Customer Services, 101 Guyton Street once we reopen.
- All applications must be made on the official form available as a word document(DOC, 529KB) and as a pdf(PDF, 686KB)
- Print off and use the PDF version for handwritten applications
- Instructions on how to complete the application form as a word document are contained within the document
