Wakefield Street Bridge replacement

Wakefield Street Bridge in Whanganui East will be fully replaced following its closure to vehicles in early 2025 due to structural issues. Funding has now been confirmed, allowing the project to move forward and restore a vital connection for the local community and surrounding rural areas.
