Apply for rates remission

For the 2024/25 financial year (starting in July 2024) the council is continuing its rates remission (reduction) that was put in place for the 2023/24 year to assist households affected by a significant increase in rates as a result of the 2022 property revaluations.

Whanganui District Council’s Trade Waste Bylaw 2018 is due for its legal review. After evaluating the current bylaw we think it’s fit for purpose at this time so as a result, we’re proposing to retain the bylaw with minor updates only.
