30 Mar 2026 Now local to Whanganui, for many years Lorene Taurerewa occupied the same corner table of the Riviera cafe in Brooklyn, New York almost every day – drawing. What emerged was a visual collection of thoughts and feelings – committed to paper in black ink.

Music from romantic and impressionist eras as well as a new, lyrical work for NZ’s Janet Jennings high light the oboe and viola with piano. Bede Hanley and Robert Ashworth are both principals in the Auckland Philharmonia, and Sarah Watkins is, of course, well known to us all.
