Community Contracts

Whanganui District Council’s Community Contracts programme supports the council’s health, safety and wellbeing goals through a process where community groups and organisations partner with the council to provide effective services

The funding round is open from 1–31 July annually

 

Register

Register you organisation or group

When you are applying for the first time you will be required to complete an organisational application. This provides Whanganui District Council with information about your organisation / group.

Choose a username and password. Please keep this handy as you will need it each time your login.

Once you have completed and submitted your registration you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Make an application

Step 1.Before you start

Please make sure you have the following information about your group or organisation including:

  • bank account number
  • GST number
  • strategic plan documents
  • end of year financial statements
  • budget projections for the next financial year

Step 2.Apply online

Login using the username and password that you created when you registered

Once logged in you will be prompted to check your organisational details – please update any information that has changes, eg new address, updated governance or policy information.

Complete your application. If you don't have all the information you need, don't worry - you can log back in a complete at a later date.

Reporting

Step 1.Login

Step 2.Click on “view a completed application from this or a previous funding round” (submit required reports)

Step 3.Click on “End of period” and this will bring up your current reporting template

Step 4.Fill in your responses and click "Submit"

 

  • Be prepared – plan to apply at least a week before the funding round closes to allow for any potential issues along the way.
  • Check if you are eligible, and if your application meets the purpose of the fund.
  • Provide all of the information required on the application form and include the required supporting documents.
  • Contact us if you would like help or need to let us know anything about your application.
  • Submit the application before the closing date of the fund (we do not accept late applications).
