Plan Change 60 - Miscellaneous 2

Plan Change 60 covers a number of miscellaneous matters. These minor changes are designed to improve the implementation of the District Plan provisions and the council's functions under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA).

Proposed changes include:

  • Renumbering and correction of transcription errors
  • Clarifications of standards for vehicle crossings and minor residential units
  • Removal of some exceptions to the 'height in relation to boundary' provisions so they may be considered in resource consents
  • Policy alignment for highly-productive land
  • Addition of two protected trees to Appendix C of the District Plan and some strengthening of the rules to align with good practice
  • Simplifying zoning of some properties that have more than one zone across them.
