Household hazardous waste days give households the opportunity to register hazardous waste with the council and drop it off at a designated location.
It is essential that hazardous waste is registered with the council and approved before the day so we can plan for its safe disposal through the proper channels.
Hazardous waste days are held annually – registrations for this year's event are open until 5.00pm on Friday, 12 April 2024. Once you've registered the types of waste you want to get rid of, the council will get back to you with the location and a drop-off time.
This year's Household Hazardous Waste Day is on Saturday, 20 April 2024 from 9.00am until 12 noon.
