I am a chartered accountant with a business in Whanganui. I have served nine years on Whanganui District Council and chaired the former District Health Board for seven years.
Whanganui has a lot to offer as a wonderful place to live. I grew up in this district and, with my husband, raised six children. With aging parents and young grandchildren here, I understand and am passionate about the importance of a thriving, safe community.
Pretty much we want the same things: to live in a community with good employment, great facilities and safe neighbourhoods – somewhere to call home. Working for affordable housing continues to be my priority.
I will direct my extensive record as a councillor, former DHB chair and experience working in schools and community organisations to strengthen our community and to develop a clear, prioritised strategy with the council team.
