Crews clearing slips throughout district

Roading crews are clearing slips on roads throughout the Whanganui District following persistent rain over recent days.

The rain has saturated the ground in much of the district, causing areas of surface water and numerous small slips on our roads. At this stage only Ahu Ahu Valley Road is closed. We have more than 20 crews clearing the slips.

Please take care on the roads and drive to the conditions.
