Meetings and Workshops
Meetings
Council and committee meetings are where elected members come together to discuss, debate and make decisions on matters of public importance for the Whanganui district. Meetings are open to the public, and we encourage you to attend in person. If you're unable to, meetings are livestreamed and recorded. A link to the meeting and agenda will be available below before each meeting. Whanganui District Council’s meetings are governed by Standing Orders.
Workshops
Workshops are informal sessions where elected members build their understanding of topics, ask questions, and explore options. No decisions are made during workshops. Further details, including the confirmed start time, topics, estimated time for each item, and whether the workshop is public or confidential, are added two days beforehand. Please note the order of workshops and their timing may change at short notice.
