Whanganui District Council wants to hear from as many local residents as possible for this year’s Community Views Survey.

The independently-conducted survey asks residents for feedback on council services and facilities as well as about perceptions of the overall quality of life and wellbeing in Whanganui.

The Community Views Survey helps us to understand how satisfied people are when using the services, facilities and activities provided by the council.

Each year, the survey checks in on how people feel about cultural activities, wellbeing and belonging, perceptions of safety, emergency planning and readiness, access to information and the performance of the council. The results are an important tool for the council when looking at how to improve its services over time.

The survey, open to those aged 16 and over, is run by independent research company Versus Research on behalf of the council. This year it will be online and should take about 10 minutes to complete.

All respondents are anonymous, and no individual responses will be supplied to the council. Everyone who completes the survey will have a chance to enter a draw to win one of three $100.00 grocery vouchers.

The results of the survey are expected to be available in August this year.
