Council staff prepare a high-level overview of NZICPA for elected members, including investment history and current position

The CCO and Economic Growth committee considers the overview and supports progressing an independent review
Late March – April 2026
Draft Terms of Reference are developed for the independent review
21 April 2026
The CCO and Economic Growth committee supports the draft Terms of Reference for council consideration
5 May 2026
The council approves the Terms of Reference, enabling the procurement of an independent reviewer to begin
May to September 2026
Council undertakes a robust procurement process to appoint an independent reviewer, including seeking proposals and evaluating submissions against the approved Terms of Reference.
September 2026
Deloitte is appointed to undertake the independent review and the review gets underway.
December 2026 (expected)
Final report presented to Council. Council expects the report to be made publicly available, subject to any information that is required by law to be withheld.
