The Great Piratical Rumbustification!

Run in partnership with Whanganui Library and Lions Club of Whanganui, this is a family friendly day that’s free for all. Bring the kids and a picnic and any cardboard/soft armour you have to help defeat the other side!

Will you join the pirates in the advancing ship or the knights who defend the castle in Kowhai Park? Inspired by the wonderful book by Margaret Mahy.

What you can expect on the day:

• Cardboard armour and sword crafting
• Story time before the battle
• Games, races, and lots of fun
• Free BBQ run by the Lions
• Free train rides once the battle has ended in the afternoon
• Bring sun-smart summer needs and a picnic!
