What we are doing to help

  • The council has begun a programme to remove sand and sediment from the Castlecliff water network using specialist NO-DES mains cleaning filtration equipment.
  • We have a water tanker parked at the Surf Club at Castlecliff from 10am to 4pm each day, available for households to fill their water containers if needed.
  • We will arrange for a plumber to visit where there are ongoing issues with plumbing, taps, filters, hot water systems or household appliances that have been affected by this current issue.
  • We will provide claim forms so eligible costs can be assessed and reimbursed where appropriate.
  • We are working with plumbers to identify where a claim is related to the sand issue to expedite the claims process.
  • We will keep residents updated through our website, Facebook, Antenno and direct contact where needed.
  • Please contact us directly with any issues rather than relying on Facebook comments or posts, as these do not officially notify our customer service or water teams.
