I have lived in Whanganui and loved this district since my learning began at Queens Park School in 1965. My love of learning continues to this day.
While running a variety of local businesses and enterprises, I learned that great teamwork is not about delegation but about listening to all possibilities and choosing paths that lead to progress and positive outcomes.
My time in Council has allowed me to listen, observe and learn. I wish to help lead and support our team of councillors to operate as effectively as possible. I believe that the council must connect delivery to community concerns and embrace the opportunity to address these concerns as they arise.
I want to see a bold council focused on great delivery, not on minimising risk. Whanganui is doing well for some, less so for others, and I am committed to helping redress the challenges in our community.
