We're making it easier and safer for everyone to recycle glass at the Whanganui Resource Recovery Centre on Maria Place.
From Monday 27 July, work will begin to remove the existing ramp and stairs at the 24/7 glass recycling area and replace them with a new ground-level drop-off, making the facility more accessible and easier for everyone to use.
The work is expected to take around two weeks (weather dependent). During this time, the 24/7 glass recycling area will be temporarily unavailable.
You can still drop off your glass for recycling inside the centre’s yard during usual opening hours of 9.00am–4.30pm, seven days a week.
