The closure of Portal Street advised earlier this afternoon will now not proceed.

Containers will be put in place this evening to stop material slipping onto the road between Anzac Parade and Forres Street. In the meantime, traffic controls will remain in place to manage traffic.

The walkway up the hill from Anzac Parade will remain open.
