Kowhai Park playground closed

Kowhai Park playground is closed until further notice due to contaminated water entering the area following heavy rain.

The gates to the park are locked and the affected area is cordoned off. Signs have been erected to warn of the contamination danger.

The public is requested to avoid this area. We apologise for any inconvenience.

The closure of the park to the public will not affect Sunday’s Round the Bridges race if the event organisers decide to proceed with it.
