Plastic waste is a massive global challenge, but solutions start close to home. To mark the start of Plastic Free July, Sustainable Whanganui is hosting a free public talk with Whanganui District Council.

Hear from the council's Waste Services Manager Morgan Harrison on how plastic became one of the biggest environmental challenges of our time, the realities of recycling, and the practical steps individuals can take to reduce waste. Learn what's happening nationally, what's happening here in Whanganui, and how small changes can help us fight back against plastic waste.

Free entry. All welcome. Light refreshments provided.
