Under Section 11A of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1974, the following road will be closed for the annual Pākaitore celebrations 2026.
From 6.00am Friday, 27 February to 8.00pm Sunday, 1 March 2026
- Taupo Quay from Market Place to Bates Street
During the closure, directional signs will be in place to show the alternative route.
It will be an offence for any person other than those under the authority of an authorised permit to use this road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the closure.
