The Whanganui Alliance* advises that tree removal will be undertaken at Upokongaro Bridge as part of post-storm event clean-up work.
The work is scheduled to take place over one day only, on Tuesday, 10 March, at the intersection of Makirikiri Valley Road and SH4.
A road closure will be in place to manage traffic through the site while tree removal is underway. Makirikiri Valley Road will be closed between 11.00am and 3.00pm while the crane is operating. From 8.00am to 11.00am and 3.00pm to 5.00pm, traffic will be managed under Stop/Go control.
Wednesday, 11 March has been allocated as a back-up day.
