Under Section 4 of the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, Whanganui District Council proposes to close the following road for the Wanganui Road Rodders 40th Annual Taupo Quay Street Drags.
Period of proposed closure:
Saturday, 28 February 2026
6.00am to 6.00pm
Taupo Quay between Heads Road and Mason Terrace, including Pacific Place.
During the proposed closure, directional signs will be in place to show the alternative route.
Any person affected by the proposed closure who wishes to object must lodge in writing their objection including reasons by 5.00pm on Saturday, 31 January 2026 to Melanie Francis, Customer Support Team Leader, at council customer services, 101 Guyton Street, Whanganui or by email
