The Whanganui Alliance has a full programme of work scheduled for December 2025.
There is a significant amount of traffic management in place across the network as it pushes to complete the reseal programme, with all bitumen chip seals expected to be completed by Friday, 19 December.
Three of the largest sites are:
- Fields Track
- Whanganui River Road
- No. 2 Line
Footpath and pram crossing maintenance is planned for:
- Talbot Street
- Carlton Ave Extension
- Anzac Parade
- Guyton Street
- Somme Parade
- Mowhanau Drive
- Portal Street
- Morgan Street
Pram crossings (pram crossings are the sloped section of a footpath that connects the path to the road, allowing easier movement across streets for prams, wheelchairs, and mobility aids)
- Fitzherbert Avenue
- Springvale Road
- Glasgow Street
