Under Section 11A of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1974, the following roads will be closed for the Mainstreet Whanganui Vintage Weekend Caboodle 2026.
Period of closures:
Saturday 17 January 2026
- 7.00am to midnight 12.00am – Victoria Avenue from Ridgway Street to Taupo Quay
- 7.00am to 9.00pm – Ridgway Street from Drews Avenue to Victoria Avenue
- 7.00am to 5.00pm – Victoria Avenue from Ridgway Street to Guyton Street and Guyton Street from Victoria Avenue to St Hill Street
During the closures, directional signs will be in place to show the alternative routes.
It will be an offence for any person other than those under the authority of an authorised permit to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the closures.
