Land Information Memorandum

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Apply for a Land Information Memorandum from the Whanganui District Council before you invest in a new property. 

A LIM will provide you with all the information held by the Council about any specific site within the Whanganui District.

You can apply for a LIM online (you will need a RealMe log-in) or you can download a LIM application form.

How much does a LIM cost?​

Residential and rural$250 (GST incl) from 1 July 2019
Commercial ​$275 (GST incl) from 1 July 2019

Fees must be paid at the time the application is made. 

Note: Fees can be subject to change.

Please enter the applicant's name, LIM Property address and LIM under the ‘Particulars’ or ‘Code’.​

    • Alluvion (depositing of silt from flooding)

  • Liquor licensing
  • Health licences
  • Contaminated sites
  • Licence to occupy (Council land)
  • Swimming pools (Fencing Act)

And any other information Whanganui District Council holds that is considered relevant to the specific property.
