Speed Limits Review

Castlecliff Beach and Rapanui and Francis Roads

Whanganui District Council is consulting on changes to speed limits on Castlecliff Beach, Rapanui Road and Francis Road.

The proposed changes to the speed limits include:

Castlecliff Beach (North Mole to southern bank of Mowhanau Stream) and Castlecliff Reserve – to reduce the speed limit from 100km/h to 30km/h

Rapanui Road and Francis Road – to reduce the permanent speed limit from 100km/h to 80km/h through the site encompassing the Westmere School boundaries on both Francis Road and Rapanui roads and along Rapanui Road between Francis Road and the State Highway
