Our District, Your Say is an online community panel where anyone can sign up to participate in Council’s decision-making process. We want to hear from residents, ratepayers, business owners, workers, students and volunteers…anyone who is part of our community.
We believe better decisions and better outcomes come from better engagement with our community. Our District, Your Say provides an informal way for residents to get involved in providing their feedback directly to Council.
A range of topics associated with Council activities will be provided to members of Our District, Your Say. For example, we might ask for your thoughts on the development or review of our policies or work programmes or seek general feedback on issues of interest to gain a greater understanding of community views. This community panel doesn’t replace the formal consultation process on policies, bylaws, annual and long-term plans.
