Contract No. 1849: Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Redevelopment Project – Main Contractor


Whanganui District Council is inviting 'Expressions of Interest' for the Main Contractor - Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Redevelopment Project, at Pukenamu Queen's Park, Whanganui.

Construction works are indicatively planned to commence at the end of August 2019 with completion targeted for August 2020.

The purpose of this Expression of Interest is to confirm your company's interest and resources to provide Main Contractor services for the Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Redevelopment Project.

The Council is seeking potential lessees for a commercial building at 301 Heads Road, Whanganui.

The site has high-profile road frontage, ample roadside visitor parking, excellent access, security fencing and a large metalled yard.

Buildings include an administration block, lock-up garage and high-stud truck bay.

Building for lease - Otamatea Reserve

 

Whanganui clubs and community organisations have an opportunity to lease part of a Council-owned building at Otamatea Reserve.

The building, at 134A Great North Road, is all that is left on the site of the former Holdsworth School (previously the Friend’s School). The Wanganui Dog Obedience Club leases the other half of the building and uses part of the reserve for training and competitions.

The lease includes a large meeting room, two separate toilets and a small separate kitchen. Some refurbishment is needed before the space becomes available and there is potential to improve the facilities.
