For the 2023/24 financial year (starting in July 2023) the council is making a one-off rates remission (reduction) of up to $500 available for households facing a rates rise higher than $700.

This bylaw regulates the control of animals (excluding dogs, which are covered in the Dog Control Bylaw 2015), poultry and bees to protect the public from nuisance, to maintain and promote public health and safety, and to protect the welfare of animals.
