Coastal restoration conference in Whanganui in March

The Coastal Restoration Trust of New Zealand – Tahuna Ora will hold its annual conference in Whanganui from 10-12 March, 2021. The main venue for the conference will be The Grand Hotel on the corner of Guyton and St Hill streets.

The conference’s theme is Living On A Dynamic Coast - Ko Te Kawa o Tangaroa, he kawa ora, and will include an abundance of information about coastal restoration from coastal scientists, local experts and practitioners, iwi representatives, coast care volunteers, students and interested members of the community.

A free pre-conference workshop, Working With Nature, will also be held on Tuesday, 9 March 2021.

Early-bird registrations for this event and the main conference close on Sunday, 31 January 2021.

The conference is sponsored by Horizons Regional Council, Whanganui District Council, suburban advocacy group Progress Castlecliff, Coastlands Plant Nursery and Downer.
