Parking meter guides

The council has introduced ParkEasy MetroLite Touch parking meters that operate on a pay-by-plate parking system.

The meters feature three payment methods – coins, tap-and-go (credit/debit card) and a QR code for smartphone use that connects to the ParkEasy payment portal.

You can also download the ParkMate app to pay for or top up your parking. Find out more about how to use the ParkMate app here.

Once a payment has been made, you are able to move your vehicle anywhere on the same street as you made the payment until your purchased time runs out. For example, if you pay for one hour on Victoria Avenue you may move anywhere on Victoria Avenue until that hour runs out. You can also pay for, or top up your parking, at any meter on the same street as you parked originally.
