COVID-19: Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua

The Sarjeant Gallery Te Whare o Rehua Whanganui will reopen on Thursday, 14 May.

To enable physical distancing of two metres, numbers at the Taupo on the Quay gallery will be limited to 20 visitors at a time, with a ‘one out, one in’ policy once the limit has been reached.

All visitors will need to provide their name, phone number and email to enable contact tracing if required.

Handwashing and sanitising stations will be available to all visitors and regular cleaning of surfaces will occur throughout the day.

The 2020 pattillo Whanganui Arts Review exhibition has been extended until Sunday, 14 June, and Dr Kathryn Wightman’s pattillo project has been extended to Sunday, 31 May.

No education classes will occur on site. Until schools indicate an interest in returning to the Gallery and suitable distancing can be guaranteed onsite, the Sarjeant’s educational resources will continue to be provided online.
